Headship is a demanding and often lonely job!
Staff have a staffroom and each other to let off steam and get support.
Where do YOU go to release the pressure and get a listening ear?
ECAPH are committed to supporting members with effective support and a confidential listening ear.
Not everyone will need us. Many of you have supportive colleagues, cluster schools and trust leads you can talk to. However, sometimes you many not want to confide in those colleagues. In that case you have us at ECAPH.
How do we do this?
Each area has its cluster representative – please get to know who your local rep is, if you don’t already. They are your first point of contact.
Their job is to liaise with the eCAPH chairs (Mark or Gill) to ensure the best and right support is put in place. It is about knowing who is the right person to give support and to get them involved.
eCAPH can support through talking face to face, emails, online meetings, phone calls, local cluster meetings, conferences etc. Whatever and whenever suits you best.
eCAPH experience and knowledge:
Not everyone experiences issues or problems, sometimes it is a question about who to contact in certain circumstances, for others it is about how to solve problems in your own settings. We can be your point of contact. Between us, Mark, Gill and Zoe have years of experience as teachers, in school leadership, school improvement, school finance and working with the local authority.
The eCAPH Executive is made up of 14 experienced headteachers from across Cheshire East ranging from small rural schools, large MATs and maintained schools and everything in between. Between the eCAPH team there is a huge reserve of experience and knowledge.
We can offer:
Opportunities for aspiring headteachers or subject leaders to visit other schools and share best practice.
Bespoke training and conferences through eCAPH which keep you up to date with current educational thinking and practice.
The collective strength and knowledge of all our members.
A confidential, emotionally available person to listen to your problems and issues.
Support in dealing with difficult aspects of your job such as OFSTED and complaints – we have all been there!
